Avery Pearl's Baby Shower!

In the midst of life, it's always so fun to have a baby shower!! Last Saturday was Avie's baby shower at our house! I hosted with such fun girls & we were so happy with the way it turned out. Em looks amazing and is going to be such a great mom. She has Cherry and Carlene to get wonderful mommy advice from and we all had such fun catching up. Can't wait for August 7th.. that is my guess of when she is coming!!! (she is due August 10th-- when we are on vacation), SO praying for before or after!! As soon as she is healthy and ready! So excited!!

thumb, that is! I haven't killed them yet and some of them are blooming!! woohoo!!!! also, thanks to steve and susan for an amazing early anniversary gift! we love our table, chairs and umbrella! it's already been such an added feature to our yard!!!

Flowers!!!

I have always loved flowers and wanted to have a green thumb, but have always failed when it comes to keeping flowers alive. I am proud to say that this season, I have tried a bit harder! With our house and upcoming parties, it makes me want to try my luck again at planting flowers. Mattie and I worked on the yard a few weeks ago, and then this past weekend, I planted some flowers. I planted impatients and begonas. I am very grateful to my parents, too, who came over last night and helped us trim all the bushes and clean up the front yard.. I realize that I should have done more yard work as a kid, so I would actually know what is going on! HA! Of course, at the time I probably stomped around and pouted when they asked me to help in the yard... kids... Now that I am more mature (haha), I will get outside and work :)

Mr. and Mrs. Hicks

It's official, KAK is now Mrs. Christopher Hicks! We had a wonderful weekend and really enjoyed every part of the wedding festivities. Mattie got to play golf twice, which he loved & I got to see many of my dear friends which was so much fun!! Eliza and I went to see Sex and the City Thursday night and the fun went on from there. I am so thankful for the amazing friends that I met at Samford.. The bridesmaids luncheon was at Kerra and Chris-- we are soo happy for you!!!
