Christmas is Coming.. Not a moment too late. -Rob Mathes

Oh how I LOVE the smell of cinnamon! My mom (secret santa) brought Mattie and me this huge Christmas gift care package that had everything Christmasy in it! Almost everything smelled of cinnamon! Thanks, MOM! We put up our tree and I must admit, I love it! Each waking moment I am home I turn it on! Why not?! Hope you are as excited as I am! Only 26 days!

Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving was wonderful. We truly loved our first holiday to be married. It was so fun to have a few days away from work and get to spend time together. We ate so much. We laughed a lot. We were thankful that God gave us each other and that His Love is all we need. And it's enough for a lifetime.

Fabulous Fall Frenzy

Congrats, Mattie!

I am so proud of the Mattie. Although RACE means nothing to you, it means a lot to us. This is his first 2 months of "internship" where he had to do a number of things in order to be able to move on. He passed with flying colors-- and a week earlier than he had to. I am so blessed to have him in my life and so thankful for the way he constantly provides for me. The Lord has truly had His hand on his career and I believe and know he will continue to do so. Thanks for your prayers. This picture was taken when Steve and Susan took us to dinner at Rumba. Thanks, ya'll. It was so fun and soo good :)

Trick or Treat.

I have always loved Halloween. I have so many fond memories of Halloweens gone by.. I was all kind of things. A pink Care Bear and cheerleader seem to come to mind, but I always enjoyed putting together some costume. I also loved the candy. Matt and I babysat for Reid and Lexi Wiemer (Reid was the ring bearer in our wedding) and we carved a pumpkin together. That was the first pumpkin I have carved in forever! We went to my parent's house for Halloween to pass out candy and I bought us these masks. Needless to say, Duke (my parent's dog) was so confused and we scared him to death with the masks. It was a fun night.
**This picture is one of my favorite from Halloween 1988**

FALL is in the air!

I always love when it gets cold enough to get my winter clothes out. I always find my most comfortable clothes and it puts me in a good mood. I also love when neighbors start to build fires and I can smell them from our house. I love hot chocolate and apple cider. It's so fun to look forward to decorating our house for a new season. It teaches me to enjoy the little things.

Happy Birthday, Gran!

Grandmothers are such special people. They have done it all and seen it all. My mom and I are so blessed to have our 'Gran' live so close by. We got to celebrate her 75TH birthday and gave her a surprise birthday party at Lillie Belle's in downtown Franklin. She was so surprised which made it even better! We Love You Gran!
